And in spite of all of the above, some of us named our children after them.
We understand that some of our beloved teachers are still alive. Heavens!
The football stadium is named after the late John Velasco. His wife, Barbara aka Mrs. V, retired in the 1990’s and passed away. The new athletic gymnasium is named after Jim Alegre, long time winning basketball coach. Mr. Alegre passed away in 2005. The baseball field is named after Donald Kimura, baseball coach. Mrs. Emiko Sugino, geometry, has recently retired.
